I started a blog named South Florida for Beginners several years ago, after I moved to south Florida and became interested or amused or appalled at the new things I encountered here. After a while, the site morphed into something more about local politics, which isn’t too surprising because almost every subject is ultimately political.
Eventually, I kind of ran out of steam and let the blog lapse for quite a while. This last election got me stirred up again though, and I decided to give it another go but with a different focus. Like many people, I have been shaken and disturbed and alarmed at the direction our national politics has taken.
This blog represents my efforts to organize and examine my thoughts about what’s going on around us. In that sense, I suppose it’s really principally for my own benefit, but if others find something of value here, then so much the better. I welcome comments—just ask that they be civil and well-considered.
After all, we’re all of us beginners in TrumpWorld!
